I Am Officially on Vacation

I requested about a week off in order to hit up my girl's cousin's wedding up in The Big Apple. I'm excited because finally I get to browse around without having to stay home with Jaina's boring cousins. Their way of having fun is singing karaoke and playing dance dance revolution and other video games. Honestly, all I would like to do is visit some historical landmarks and shop till I drop because there's no tax. And oh yeah, hit up some food joints like Grey's Papaya. I'm super ecstatic about hitting it up. I'll starve myself just to fill up on all the hot dogs and drinks I can. I'm kidding about starving myself, but I'll probably stuff my face to my hearts content.

The thing about New York is that I wouldn't want to live there, IMO at least. The weather is horrible. There are days in the winter where it snows, rains, and days where it gets really gloomy. Those are the days where you don't even want to get out and do anything. Then when summertime arrives, it'll get really really humid. The drivers drive crazy as fuck!! Seriously, you got other people honking at you and they drive excessively aggressive. Plus, there's a toll fee that has to be paid.

But there are good traits about The Big Apple. At night, all the lights in Times Square are turned on and everyone walks around the area...I mean everyone. There's a shit load of cabs and hot dog stands and homeless peeps and garbage bags piled up. The typical New York, and oh yeah, there's mass pizza places around also. I haven't seen one Mexican eatery or boba shop around.

Well, I'll definitely be enjoying myself with all the free drinks and free food at the wedding. And I'll definitely enjoy the scenery, and being away from San Diego for a little bit...especially being away from work. I've been sick and tired of my fellow employees in Plumbing. They're all fun and games, so there's no work really accomplished. I just can't waste valuable time sitting or leaning around and not learning anything. I just can't do that, it's not in my nature. I was born as a hard worker, and always will be a hard worker. It's just how my work ethic is.

But no stress for a week, until I head back to work on Sunday...BOO!!! Here's a pic from the last trip up to NYC:

NYC, Shoes, Food, Alcoholic Beverages, Plane rides, Shopping, here I come.
