From NYC Back to SD

The trip to NYC the 2nd time was definitely better than the 1st. This time, I got to do things that I didn't have the opportunity to do the 1st time. The 1st time, I was supposed to purchase the matching jacket for my mom's sweats, but by the time we got to the mall, we were limited to 15 minutes because the store was ready to close. By I did get to see Times Square. It was beautiful! Anyways, I didn't get the jacket, and I left NYC empty handed and bitter because the reason why I took this trip was to hit up the malls and do some shopping. Besides all that, we did go shopping the 2nd time. I picked up a pair of Nike Air Max 1's, the green one's out of the skull pack for $59.99 no tax. I was stoked because there was no tax! Can't wait for the next trip up to NYC. And this time, I want to stay out they for a little bit longer, maybe for a couple of weeks or so.

***Afterwards we hit up Gray's Papaya. They're famous for their drinks and hot dogs.***

The reason for this trip to NYC was there was a wedding in Jaina's family. Kuya Dennis was getting married to his girl named Christine. She seemed like a cool person, but then again, I only met her once over in LA for a brief moment. Well, the wedding was a blast!

The ceremony was held in Queens, NYC. About an hour drive from Belleville, New Jersey. Then, we had to drive back and pick up EJ's mom, Auntie Nelly back at home and drive back to the reception held somewhere off the Hudson River. I don't recall where exactly, but it was a beautiful place. It was an open bar, so I had a couple of drinks, but knew what my limit was. I had 4 Margaritas, 2 Bailey's and Cream, and 1 Long Island Ice Tea. After the first 4 Margaritas, I was already buzzin'.

We left NYC the next day, played a little Wii before we left, then boarded the plane off to SD. Our flight was delayed till 1840, and our original flight was at 1730. Anyways, it was nice to get away from SD for a little bit and hit up the east coast for a change. And especially to be away from work and the stupid ass customers...geez!

I Am Officially on Vacation

I requested about a week off in order to hit up my girl's cousin's wedding up in The Big Apple. I'm excited because finally I get to browse around without having to stay home with Jaina's boring cousins. Their way of having fun is singing karaoke and playing dance dance revolution and other video games. Honestly, all I would like to do is visit some historical landmarks and shop till I drop because there's no tax. And oh yeah, hit up some food joints like Grey's Papaya. I'm super ecstatic about hitting it up. I'll starve myself just to fill up on all the hot dogs and drinks I can. I'm kidding about starving myself, but I'll probably stuff my face to my hearts content.

The thing about New York is that I wouldn't want to live there, IMO at least. The weather is horrible. There are days in the winter where it snows, rains, and days where it gets really gloomy. Those are the days where you don't even want to get out and do anything. Then when summertime arrives, it'll get really really humid. The drivers drive crazy as fuck!! Seriously, you got other people honking at you and they drive excessively aggressive. Plus, there's a toll fee that has to be paid.

But there are good traits about The Big Apple. At night, all the lights in Times Square are turned on and everyone walks around the area...I mean everyone. There's a shit load of cabs and hot dog stands and homeless peeps and garbage bags piled up. The typical New York, and oh yeah, there's mass pizza places around also. I haven't seen one Mexican eatery or boba shop around.

Well, I'll definitely be enjoying myself with all the free drinks and free food at the wedding. And I'll definitely enjoy the scenery, and being away from San Diego for a little bit...especially being away from work. I've been sick and tired of my fellow employees in Plumbing. They're all fun and games, so there's no work really accomplished. I just can't waste valuable time sitting or leaning around and not learning anything. I just can't do that, it's not in my nature. I was born as a hard worker, and always will be a hard worker. It's just how my work ethic is.

But no stress for a week, until I head back to work on Sunday...BOO!!! Here's a pic from the last trip up to NYC:

NYC, Shoes, Food, Alcoholic Beverages, Plane rides, Shopping, here I come.

Part III: The Dance

Well, I left off saying that I didn't get any that day, but our relationship as friends when to the next stage: becoming more than friends. Well, the next day, we hit up the tuxedo shop so we could pick out a suit for me. I got a matching gold tie since her dress was gold. We began talking on the phone a lot more so we could better get to know each other before the dance.

Then, the day of Homecoming arrived and this is how the day consisted as far as I recall to my short term memory. First, I picked up my corsage for my date Jaina. Then, I washed my car before I picked her up. It was fixed up at the time so my car consisted of a Buddy Club body kit, 18" gunmetal rims, a 7" in-dash tv screen, AEM cold air intake, Carbon FIber Hood, and don't remember the brand name of the exhaust, but everything was pretty boned out in the matter of only owning my car for about a year. Well, we headed over to this restaurant which was close to her house. Then, I got ready before I picked her up. We ate at Thai Spices. They had some pretty good food, which I ordered as super spicy. Boy, was it HHOOOOOTTT!!!! But good. Next, we arrived at the high school and continued the fun filling night. We danced the night away and the best thing was that I made her boyfriend super jealous. As soon as the dance was over, I ended the night by dropping her off, and giving her a kiss. But, the thing is everything ended there.

I didn't call her for a year. Why? Because I wasn't ready for a relationship. Stupid because I passed up a beautiful girl to continue being single. So I had occasionaly bump ins with her at parties. We had this awkwardness when we were around each other, and one time at a party, my half black/filipino friend named Angie told us to dance with each other. I was pretty buzzed and so was she, so we danced with each other. The party soon ended and we left the party in opposite ways.

Then about 2 years ago during Wintertime, I saw her at the bowling alley. This was when everyone went to the bowling alley to chill. It was the hot spot in Mira Mesa. I swear everyone was there. But I ran into her that night, and at the time, I had long hair. I was pretty fucked up that night off some hennessey v.s.o.p. But I had the courage enough to come up and talk to her. It was the hormones kicking in. Well, not really. A friend up mine named Jason was talking to her, but I decided to cock block and have her for myself. Selfish, but the game has to be played.

Well, the night ended and when I got home, I decided to call her because I couldn't get her out of my head. I seriously had this dream about her after I got off the phone with her. I ended up asking her "if she wanted to chill." So I picked her up that night and took her out for dinner and a movie. We ended up eating at Olive Garden and watched Meet the Faukers. There was no one in the theater at the time, but the movie was funny. She actually didn't know that we were going on an actual date. At the end of the night, I kissed her again.

I told her that I had a present for her. I arrived at her house to drop off the present, and she was meaning to "drop me" after she received the present, but her mom asked me to come inside. I couldn't refuse, so I went in. I gave her my present, she opened it, and she liked it. It was a Hello Kitty Hamper for her dirty clothes. I remembered that she loves Hello Kitty because she had all this shit in her room. Well, I was pretty much there the whole day until her friend Chris invited her over to play pool at "Stixs". Jaina invited me over with her and I decided to come along.

After a great game of pool, we arrived home early in the morning, but my car was still at her house. So I walked her to the door, but before leaving, I asked her if I could use the restroom. I had to go pee pee. I then went out the door and asked her in these exact word," are we going out or what?" She replied, "...I guess." Not really sure exactly. But I confused her because she was still wanting to "drop me" meaning that she didn't want to be with me. But she called her friend Troy and told him the story and asked him what that meant. He told her that we were going out. So I called her the next day and we chilled again. So I got away with murder....hahaha...just kidding, I picked her up using trickery!!! I'm a genius I tell you, a genius! I got her, and now I'm never going to let her go. And that is how the relationship began. 2 years, 7 months and still going.

I end this story on our 2 year, 7 month anniversary. Happy Anniversary babes, I love you!

Fin.

The Day Before Yesterday

My nephew Kayden turned one year old 2 days ago. I was excited to that little kid since I haven't seen him in a while. Well, that day, we played ball on the courts that they had provided for us. But it was weird because they had a carpet court. Besides the fact, everyone had fun and old faces reunited and it was a great day. It's crazy how people I haven't seen in ages came out for that ocassion. Anyways, here's a picture of the kid.

He's bout to break some hearts when he gets older.

Part Deux

Well, about a year into my freshmen year of college, I get a call from none other than Jaina herself. She was in her senior year at the time and she needed a date to homecoming because her stupid ass boyfriend broke up with her to go with some other chick. When I asked her how she picked me, I felt like I won the lottery, literally. It felt like the NBA draft...haha!!

Jaina was talking amongst her friend asking, or shall I say, seeking guidance on who to possibly ask. She didn't want to go with anyone younger or in the same grade because she thought that everybody was not appealing to her; a nicer way of saying that the dudes were ugly. Well, she happened to come across my name, but she had no idea on how to ask me since she didn't have my number.

Anyways, the next day, Jaina was talking to one of her volleyball friends, Anna and she asked Jaina if she had a date to homecoming. Jaina supposedly said that she had an idea on who to ask, so she mentioned my name. Anna happens to know me because she went out with my boy Joel, which I haven't talked to for awhile now (currently in the Navy in Japan). From what I recall, Anna told Jaina that she had my number and she decided to call me for her.

So I talk to Anna and she was wondering if I remembered this girl named Jaina. How could I not remember such a beautiful face--that's what I thought to myself, but I replied with a simple yes. Then Anna told me that Jaina wanted to speak with me. So I spoke to Jaina and the next thing I know, she was asking me to homecoming. As the nice person I am, I said, "Yes, I would love to."

Therefore, she asked me if I wanted to hang out with her and watch the homecoming football game. We smashed the competition of course. Don't remember who they played that night. Well, we ended up talking and found out that there was a party going on that night. So, we hit up that and talked more. It felt kind of awkward because everyone thought that we were going out. And for some reason, I was a bit uncomfortable about that. Why? I guess I wasn't really ready to settle down yet. Well, we ended up talking till the morning, before it was that time to bring her home. As I walked her to her door, she invited me to come over the next day to check out her dress.

So, as the day approached, I arrived at her house after dinner was served at her home, and said my hello's to her parents. They were very nice to me, which made me feel really comfortable being the first time in their home and all. So we head to her room where she stores her dress. It was a beautiful glittery gold dress that left glitter all over my leather seats homecoming night. Well, I ended up staying there a little longer than usual because her ex-boyfriend found out that she had a date. He thought that Jaina wouldn't be able to find one. He reminds me of a two face from Batman without the multi-colored face; just the same color. He was a bit angry that I was there, and a jealous at the same time because he basically wants her to wait for him.

Well, I offered to talk to this fucker, but she didn't want me to, so I decided to do some push-ups. She started to giggle and her ex didn't like that. I just wanted to work out because I was in that work out phase. Well, I told her that I was going to call it a night, so she walked me out the door. For some reason, spur of the moment, I turned around and kissed her on the lips. I don't know what made me do it, but it just felt right.

The next day I invited her over and asked her if she wanted to play some video games. She's not the average girl because what girl likes to play video games? She smashed me in some Gran Turismo, then I got tired. Next thing we know, we were smoochin' and my hand was down her pants. (I was thinking to myself, "I'm almost there.") But nothing happened. She had to leave for her volleyball practice or something. Don't really remember.

It's about 4 in the morning right now and I have work in a hour. I haven't slept so I'm going to hit the shower so I don't go to sleep, and clean myself up. Also have to get ready for my nephew Kayden's birthday. He's a year old today...Happy Birthday Son!!

To Be Continued...

(Don't worry, Part III will be in soon.)

Love is Powerful

To me love is dedication and sticking to the plan no matter the situation. I am very grateful with everything I'm surrounded by; friends, family, and others i this widely populated planet called earth. Love just puts you in this place secluding yourself from the world. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Well let me tell you the story of how I met my Jaina.

Ok. The first time I ever noticed Jaina was during high school in a class I had with her. It was geometry with Mr. Newell, but we never really talked to each other since we sat totally opposite from each other. The last day of junior year, we exchanged year books to sign and that was the first encounter I had with her.

The following year, i had another math class with her. This time it was pre-algebra. How i hated math, but still took it anyways. Well, we ended up sitting totally opposite from each other again, but noticed her a lot more since she would always walk with her what was then boyfriend to class. I would always think to myself, how could this ugly ass motherfucker get with such a beautiful girl? Makes me wonder. Anyways, we never really talked because her then boyfriend wouldn't allow her to talk with boys. So I graduated without saying a word to her.

During the summertime heading into my freshmen year of college, I ran into Jaina at my Homegirl Althea's party. It was sometime around the 4th of July I'm assuming. I was pretty buzzed off of some OE (40 oz. of beer), and I was just getting down and talking to all the girls there. Well I saw that night and I tapped her on the shoulder. The first thing that came out of my month was, "hey, what's up!?" I asked her who she was with and the next thing I know, she's out the door. I continued to party and have a good time and I didn't see her again that night.

(This concludes part 1 of the story. Part 2 will continue soon. Check back shortly.)

It's time for sleep, got to get up early for work tomorrow.

And Yul, dope ass III's, but your crazy for spending 4+ bills on them. Super clean though. Good night!

Zapatos

Here are the shoes I'm shortly receiving:

Just a lil' preview before I wear these on my feet.

Here are the sneaks I had to let go off in order to have these in my possession:

farewell buddies, hope he treats you well, as I certainly have:

Nike Kobe I Olympic's

and Nike Foamposite Pro's

Enjoi!

Shoes Again!?!

I know i said I wasn't going to pick up anymore shoes till the Jordan Aqua 8's come out, and I'm true to my word. I found someone that's selling them early, so I decided to do whatever it took to get my hands on them. But it came with a cost. I traded away my Nike Foamposites and Nike Zoom Kobe I's to get them plus cash. In the end, he obviously got the better of the deal, but I had to do whatever it took for him to give them up. So when that said, I am officially done for the year. And I'm definitely going to be breakin' some necks a couple weeks aheade of schedule. Jealous? I would be...or shall I say envious? But don't worry friends, I'll be waiting in line for them so I could cop my brother and my girl a pair. Probably wear them like I wore my Flip III's last time. Maybe!?...you never know. I'll definitely be turnong mass heads at the release. Well, I don't have them yet so I shouldn't be so ecstatic so soon. But I know that I'll have a pair of my own.

And 2 nights ago, I dropped my phone for the first time. I wanted to cry becauseit dropped from such a high point. What was the damage? A dent on the top left corner. And some small blemished on the back. But all and all, everything works and I'm thankful that it was just cosmetic damages and nothing internally. Knock on wood. But it was bound to happen right? I just didn't expect it to happen so soon. It'll be about $40 just to replace the rear panel but it'll definitely be worth it.

I really need to stop drinking beer because it's leaving me a beer belly. Plus, I'm looking very over weight and not as fit as I was in the past. It's time for a change and it needs to begin now. Plus I need to do some training of my own to prepare myself for ROTC. So this is where training begins, and hopefully will continue to pursue into the future.

The 15th of next week, Wednesday, is when I leave for New York. I will be going there to attend a wedding, the cousin of my girlfriend. I met him when he resided here in California in pursue of a career. He was currently staying at my girl's house when i met him. He's a very cool and nice guy. The first day, we'll be doing some shopping in Jersey at the Garden State Mall. I'm really excited because this time I'll get to do some shopping. And add to that excitement, there's no tax!! This will be my second trip to the Big Apple and hopefully I'll be able to hit up some places that I would really like to go to like the Empire State Building. Well if you ever hit up New York, hit up Grey's Papaya. They have the best deals on hot dogs. Something like 2 hot dogs and a drink for $2.50. Widely known for their drinks and hot dogs. Can't wait to go there. Kind of reminds me of Pink's hotdogs in L.A.

Well nighty night to all you sleepy heads, and good morning to all you early birds.
