I'm had the most hectic day since the first day I began working in Plumbing. I had customers in every which direction asking me questions. It was crazy! Well, I got through it, by God's help of course. But I had a customer basically scream at me today. But what can I do...I'm only one person. And might I add, I was the only one in Plumbing from 9AM-to-1PM. I tried to multi task by doing go-backs and helping multiple customers at the same time. I swear it's like they fight over me. Hah!!
Let me start off by saying that my day at work started off pretty bad. Why? Because there's this new system where thee assistant managers walk the aisles and rate from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I received a measly 4. How could this be, after all the hard work off completing multiple carts of go-back within 2 beginning from closing (10PM) to midnight. And might I add, I was by myself again from 9PM to 12PM. I did the best I could, but to deserve a 4? That's ridiculous. And who was it that graded? Stu. At first, he was a cool guy. But for some reason, he's beginning to act like a jackass. All I could say is, "What a Fucker!!"
Never really like him from the get go. Don't really know why, just the kind of a person that's dislike-able. I just hate his personality, trying to be all gitty, but really it's just a front; a gimmick; a disguise. Never really a person I would want to make friends with. Sorry if I'm a bit opinionated, but I'm just trying to speak my mind and getting everything out in the open instead of bottled up.
Anyway, I had a bright spot where a customer from the night before was very thankful and happy that I had helped him out last night. I suggested a couple of things that he should do in order to make his job easier. I told him to call for a manager so he could speak with him about my excellence (sorry if I'm acting a bit arrogant), but I needed to show them that I have more than what it takes to survive in a department where no one wants to end up. I think my department is sick, and because it's one of the most difficult departments to work in, besides Outside Garden...Big ups to YUL!...It's all because of the great employees in my department that help me out. Without them, I would probably end up being like Carlo...doesn't know anything really. Always thinks of himself as not an actual Plumber...but just a person who works in the department. I don't know about him, but I have actually done a couple of jobs that require soldering, installing a drip system, installing pvc pipes, sprinklers, toilets, etc.
Too be honest with you, Carlo isn't really an effective worker. Just a waste of space shall I say. He's cool though, but his work ethic is very poor. On and off work. I don't want to get into basketball, because it just keeps going down hill. And Carlo...Get the fuck off Kanye West's dick!! SHIT!! Just get married to him for all I care. He's just another rapper.
Well, I had a couple customers that were really happy with the assistance, so I went ahead and asked them to fill out the survey online and put in a good word for me. Hopefully they'll go by their word and follow through.
With that said, I need my fuckin badges. Why? Just to officially let everyone know that I earned everything that I do. And that hard work needs to be rewarded and hopefully with a fuckin raise. Shit...it's been long over due. And I deserve what I'm asking for. And hopefully, they'll add in a little somethin somethin to it.
