Today is A Special Day

Sorry for not posting up in such a long time.

Anyhow, today is a very special day. None other than MY BIRTHDAY! But nothing special happened today. Just pretty much spent the day at my girl's house since she's out on vacation in the Philippines till June 14. It was pretty much laundry day since I had a pile of clothes lying in the corner. Usually I'm on top of things, but today, I've just been in a lazy-relaxed type of mood.

So here's what consisted of this day: I had a couple of my co-workers/friends over to play some Wii. I just got Mario Kart and we've been playing that till early this morning. Next, I slept and woke up at around 12:30. I was going to go shopping, but with what money since I spent over $500 yesterday on furniture from Ikea and 2 Wii remotes. So I decided to stay in and continue to work on my girl's room so I could suprise her when she gets back.

It was supposed to be a project for her and I, but I decided to wait till she was gone so she'll be suprised when she gets home. Something I decided to do on my own, but I couldn't of done it alone. With all of the furniture I got yesterday, I would have never have packed everything all in my little black Celica. Thankfully, I was with Dexter and David most of the day, and David had his truck so I was able to load everything in there.

So, continuing on, I finished painting my baby's closet doors and still working on painting the walls. By the way, she picked the 'Tiffany' color, and it looks very good on her walls. So while painting her closet doors, I received a "619" number on my cell number, so I picked it up, and what do you know, a call from Bloomingdales. So I find out that I have an interview at 12PM. It's good to know because I have been waiting for a call from them for awhile. Hopefully it'll be the job I wished for and at a salary that is well deserved. I was really excited and jumped for joy. Hopefully, they finalize their decision and hire me on the spot. That would make me jump even higher for joy...maybe even give me some boosties for a slam dunk! ha, how I wish.

Anyways, at around 4:45PM, my mom called me and asked me if I wanted to have dinner at the Boathouse in Harbor Island close to the San Diego Airport. I agreed, hopped in the shower and headed over to my mom's house, since I'm staying at my girl's house. So I arrived at the house at around 6:15PM, then we headed down to the Boathouse. I find out that there was a special on Live Maine Lobster for $11.95! I find that extremely cheap and it was very very good! Then when we were all done and ready to leave, my mom gives me a smacking 200 bucks in my hand. I was stoked, but I didn't want to show my joy, but I was very greatful for dinner and very greatful to have such a wonderful loving mother and family.

After dinner, I traveled back to my baby's house and chilled for a little bit, finished up the Celtics/Pistons game, which the Celtics won by 4 points, and then went off to paint the walls of my girl's room. And now, I'm typing in here and telling you what consisted of my day. I'll be continuing to paint and hopefully finish up the walls so I can spray paint all the furniture I got for her black since that's what she wanted.

So back to work I go, wish me luck because I have a deadline of less than 2 weeks. It'll be exciting to see the look on her face! Hopefully it's a jaw and eyes wide open look ending with a big fat hug and millions of kisses.

Besides all of that, I will be celebrating my birthday tomorrow at D&B's tomorrow. So you are very welcome to come in and have some fun. That's what I plan on doing. Then on Saturday, I hope to extend my birthday celebration at ONYX Downtown SD. It'll be another fun event, which will hopefully end up with a smile on everyone's face.

Hope to see ya'll there.

And thanks for the birthday greetings. I really appreciate it.

Happy kid,
Julius

P.S. To Christine: I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your wedding. I was involved in an incident that included a stretcher and an ambulance car. Long story short, I had alcohol poisoning. It's embarrassing. I'm sorry. But congratulations! I have so happy for you. I spread my congratulations to Daniel as well. You two are meant for each other. Best wishes. I'll keep in touch for Sushi, we have much to catch up on.

And Ulster, sorry I missed you call, this top portion also pertains to you. We also have much to catch up on my brotha. Take care and you still owe me one of those 4n6 t's. No homo, but I miss you Wee Ninja. Well keep up your schoolings.

Only Getting Wiser

You can say that I'm getting older, but to put it in a more positive perspective, I'm only getting wiser. From the mistakes the a took part in in the past is being corrected and being avoided. It's time to step up into a career where I can shed some of my true potential amongst a company that sees hard work and effort instead of 'kissing the boss's butt.' You know who you are...Tim Page!! You are the king of butt-kissing, and a follower, not a leader. A leader will endure the hardships of it's title and sacrifice himself before his followers so that he may lead by example, not lead by ordering others around. That's not how you gain the respect of others, and honestly, I'm sick and tired of hearing your complaining, and trying to be another Wayne Kidd. You will never gain my respect because you have not earned it.

Other than that, it's time for a change and it's time for a change immediately. I need to make more money, and more money quick, before these bills turn to debts, and these debts turn into law suits.

Technicality and precision is what should be everyone's number one priority. I need to take a stand. Just like Bob Marley sang, "Get Up, Stand Up". That's what I need to do , for the better of my future, or shall I say, the better of our future.

One Love.

Most Anticipated!!

So I've been going to this store called facevalue. a lot lately. And by far, this is my favorite spot. I stress the favorite. Nothing compares to this store...the style, the brands, the people who work there...one of a kind. And I really appreciate my buddy Shane for holding me a pair of kicks that are highly sought after. Shane my buddy, I thank you for holding me these because these were the best of the Common Projects.

We take LIFE for granted

Last night at work, Maureen, a co-worker of mine over at The Home Depot apologized for bailing on me with the limo for Kylene's b-day. I told her that it was no problem at all and I was wondering where she was for the past week or so. Then she told me this story that just melted my heart away. It was terrible. Here's how it goes:

She was at work on a Friday night, but misses a phone call. She checks her voicemail and hears that her girlfriend needs help. So she gets up and tells the closing manager that she needs to leave right away.

So here's what happened to Maureen's girlfriend Juanita. I believe Juanita was driving home from a day of work, stopping at red lights and being very cautious. She was by the 52 freeway and she caught a green light. So she went, then out of nowhere, this black Mazda Miata comes speeding out of the dark and t-bones her 2000 Toyota Tacoma causing her to spin out, hit the railing of the freeway exit, which caused her truck to roll, and then hit a freeway sign that caused her to stop.

The person driving the Mazda Miata also had a passenger with him. And guess what this jackass did? After he had hit her, he was thinking about hitting and running, but his car wouldn't allow him to. He stopped about a mile away and called a 'tow truck'. He didn't even to think to call 911. And the tow truck arrived before the police came.

Back to Juanita, she described the hit as a monster hitting her. Luckily, a homeless man heard it and also had his campsite near by. He came out to see what had happened and immediately did what he could. He pulled back the door of the driver's side and pulled her out. To my surprise, he also had a cell phone and had called 911.

After seeing the aftermath of the damage that had been done, her what was brand new 2000 red Tacoma Truck has major damage to the front end, etc, etc.

Maureen was telling me that when Juanita was at the hospital, they had to operate on her immediately because she had internal bleeding. So they cut her open from the chest down to her belly button and found that blood from her spleen was gushing out. So they had to remove her spleen. Her left arm also was badly damaged. Her skin was flapping around and you can see her bare flesh.

And yesterday, was Juanita's b-day so Maureen did the nicest things for her. She couldn't function normally because she was in so much pain, so Maureen gave her a bath, cleaned her sheets, painted her nails, and had a nice roast beef dinner. Maureen described the day as celebrating LIFE.

After what had happened, Maureen quit drinking and all the bad habits she was accustomed to. She also told me that her relationship with her had gotten stronger. And she's so appreciative of LIFE. It was an emotional story which caused her to cry, which almost made me tear up.

It's stories like these that make me appreciate LIFE more. I hope the person that hit Juanita get what he deserves because another few minutes at the crash scene, she could have passed away.

These types of stories are so influential, that it's things like these that change the aspect of the things I do in life. I appreciate life more and more, and families aren't just blood, but friends. I appreciate having my girlfriend, my family, my friends, my personal belongings, etc. There's things that I regret doing in life, and things I cherish. I would love to change my bad habits also, and I'm definitely working on it.

Thank God everything is ok.

Live life as if it were your last.
