How I Spent My Day Off

So here's how my day consisted. I didn't really get much sleep the previous night because I was talking to my girl who is currently in the Philippines for vacation. I took a brief nap and woke up early at around 7AM. I kinda just laid on the couch and watched a bit of tv. About 2 hours later, I decided to get my lazy butt off the couch and do some laundry laying around the house. I washed everything from the covers on the couch, loose laundry hanging around in rooms, and my pile of laundry that I leave by the dining table. I even washed my black Pumas I used to mow the lawn.

And yes, I mowed the lawn. It looks immaculate! Besides all the brown spots scattered around the lawn. After finishing up the front yard, I cleaned up the backyard and swept up all the leaves and picked up Rocky's gifts that he lays around the yard.

After all of that, I hopped in the shower for a much needed cleansing. It was very refreshing. I was supposed to go to facevalue with Ulster, but he over slept, as I did also. Anyways, I hopped out the shower and folded all of the washed clothes. After that, I traveled to Ikea to return an extra book shelf that I had purchased.

I haven't eatten the whole day so I picked up 2 hot dogs, a bag of chips, a soda, and a cinnamon bun before I traveled to facevalue to pick up a shirt.

So as I got to facevalue, I talked to Vince and met his best bud, Emily. She has a great friendly personality and that's what I love about walking into facevalue. Everyone is always ALWAYS very nice about everything. No signs of bad energy. Well, we talked about his trip back home to Seattle and him speaking in front of college students. Also, they didn't have the shirt that I wanted provided by NHTVSN (NightVision) of La Forge from Star Trek. The shirt is dope, and my buddy Vince ordered me a shirt from them since they are here locally, or what he says somewhat.

I also can't wait for my Undftd "Boston Sucks" shirt to come in. And by the way, Lakers won game 3, so the series is 2-1 in favor of Boston. It was a hard fought battle and will only get harder. I can't wait to be rockin' this around the neighborhood. And sorry Bostononian's if you are offended. I just grew up a Lakers fan, that's just how it is.

I'm gonna be rockin' this shirt till the day I die.

I'm also anticipating these Nike AM1 Safari 87 inspired. I can't wait.

Also anticipating these: Nike Air Force 1 Hi "1World". It's the one on the left. I want to rock these when I play ball.

My most recent pick up to play ball in. In reminscent of the Space Jam XI's and a mix of the Nike Air Shake Ndestrukts and the Nike Air Barkley's.

KEEP IT ON THE HUSH!! DON'T SAY NOTHING!! (*edited)

Again, It's been quite a while since I've last written in here. To be exact, I believe it was a post on my b-day.

Well, since then, I have been working on a "top secret" project for the past 2-3 weeks. And finally, I could say that "I am completely FINISHED!! WOOHOO!!"

And I shall provide pictures of the finished product. Excuse the poor quality of the pictures as I did not have a real camera, so as a result, I had to use my iPhone instead.

I should have realized to shoot "before" pictures to see how big a difference it was, but next time, if another project shall arise, I will know what to do.

Anyhow, here is a brief description of what I did for the past 2-3 weeks. First, I removed all of the popcorn off the ceiling including inside her closet. Next, I painted the ceiling white to freshen up the room because the previous color of off-white was NOT going to work with the color of the paint, which was resembling to a Tiffany Blue.

So after carefully painting the ceiling, I then painted her walls with the Tiffany blue paint that we got from my work. Without using any tape, I carefully painted the edges not hitting the white trimming on the bottom and the white ceiling. I was able to perform this task with very very minimal mistakes.

Then, I removed all of her clothes in her closet and painted the inside walls so that it doesn't look sloppy. I'm a perfectionist so I wanted everything to it's entirity.

So after finishing up the walls, I assembled all of the furniture that was purchased at Ikea. I purchased 2 Billy bookcases that will serve it's purpose with a twist of the addition of photo frames and awards. The original color was white, but with a strict plan, I spray painted the bookcases black. It took me about 2 days to complete since I had to let them dry and re-spray all the spots that I missed.

After completing the spray painting of the bookshelves, I placed the finished products to be placed in the room. These two bookshelves are located in the right corners of the room with the bed in between.

Also, I spray painted the bed black, as it's original color was a natural maple since I was on a strict description of having all the furniture black.

After that, I had to assembled a Malm dresser bought at Ikea. I then transfered all of her clothes from her previous dresser into the new dresser. There was no need to spray paint since the furniture already comes in a black color. Thank God for that because spray painting is no fun. All of the fumes would get in and on my nose and especially all of my face. But it in the end, it was all worth it.

Next, I put all of the clothes I took out of the closet, and returned them back into the closet. That took me about an hour since she has so so much! She's a girl, what do you expect?!

After completing that task, I, and the help of my good buddy Dexter put together the Billy bookcase, which will serve as a shoe rack display for her heels and boots. And this bookcase came in a black-brown color. She really wanted this in black, but to be honest with you, you can't really tell since it's a very dark mix. So I decided not to paint it since it looks good as it is. I added an extension to the bookcase and a couple of shelves to fit more heels on it.

I then displayed all of her heels on the bookcase and added the addition of two spotlights located at the top of the shelf. This was an idea that was not really in the plans but I decided to do anyways because it would make the display of the shoes that much better. And honestly, it makes it so so much better!

After all of the, I transfered whatever was left from her drawers into plastic bags and put them in her already stuffed closet. I hid them behind her clothes.

Now everything Looks great, and I can't wait to see the look on her face. It's going to be awesome! I wish I could be there to see the look on her face, but she'll be suprised to see what I did to her room. Just as her original plan, but altered a bit. But still, everything went as planned to her exact diagram she drew out.

DON'T FORGET, THAT THIS IS A SECRET PROJECT THAT I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THAT SHE HAS NO CLUE ABOUT. **AND IF YOU WANT A MAKE OVER IN YOUR ROOM, MY SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE...FOR A PRICE OF COURSE.**

[edit:6/10]I can't forget the help of my friends: Jared, David and Ulster for helping me lift the old furniture out of her room. Without you guys, I would be straining my back and calling in sick to work because of it.
